MIAMI LIGHT PROJECT ANNOUNCES 5TH SELECTION OF ARTISTS FOR HERE & NOW: 2003

September 10, 2002, Miami, FL -Miami Light Project announces the selection of nine projects for Here & Now: 2003. Now in its 5th year, Here & Now has become an important commissioning program for emerging and mid-career artists who live in South Florida. "Here & Now has had a significant impact on the professional development and creative projects generated by Miami-based performing artists and filmmakers," says Miami Light Project Executive Director, Beth Boone. "The work was adjudicated by two panels of Miami-based artists and arts professionals, resulting in 5 performance pieces and 4 films that will be presented in March 2003 at the Light Box, Miami Light Project’s studio performance space."
